KAURA APC, A PARTY IN NAME NOT IN SPIRIT: WHY UNITY MAY DECIDE 2027 GENERAL ELECTION.

As Kaura Local Government looks forward to the 2027 general election, it is a clear fact that APC has never won any key elective position here, not even once, and I am so sure that many within the APC as a party know why, but only a few dare to say it aloud.

The APC as a party in Kaura LGA is in the grip of a tiny circle of opportunists (hoodlums, as many call them), a minute or less-handful of individuals that have taken the party hostage, only engaging wider members when palliatives arrive from the state or federal government, the kind they can’t share among themselves without being noticed. You always find their naïve and gullible followers singing their praises while true decision-making happens behind closed doors. These greedy fellows call the big shots in secret meetings and only remember the rest of the party members when palliatives arrive. It is a sad reality though.

The coalition, as a movement, must take advantage of such decisions within the APC to engage all aggrieved APC members in meaningful discussions in order to salvage a system that only a few have hijacked. Take a look at APC as a party: Grassroots builders with capacity, popularity, and good structures, individuals who had poured out their credibility and resources in building APC as a party, like Hon. Pompo Pomposiya Jonah, Hon Yatai Yakubu, Hon. Isaacgandu Kaura, Hon. Yakubu Umaru Spidder, Albert Zigwai Auta , Pst Chocho Ngat, Hon. Rashidi, Hon. Hosea Musa (the only elected councillor ever in APC kaura LGA). Other distinguished heavyweight that have now been cutoff from the system are: Hon Joyce Henry Tagwai, Mrs. Janet Gabriel, Zacks Aboi (Hon. Sankyie's chairmanship campaign DG 2024), Hon Nehemiah Sunday (ASO), Hon. Napo Bakura, Hon. Macghetto Stephen DABO (Former Council Legislative Speaker), Hon. Bonny Mai Brodi, Engr. Leo Dauda, Mr. Yusuf Manchan, Hon. Danladi Sheyin, Mr. Solomon Bature kadarko, Sunday Adamu, Dauda Irimiya Starry, Joy Tagwai, Hon David Kajit, Hon.Elder Habu Sheyin, Mrs. Rebecca H. Akapson, Medad Nickaf, Hon. SIMAN MATHIAS (immediate past Council Chairman), Hon. Samuel Barnabas Kambai, Marcillenus Bagu and many others.

 All this key players within Kaura political terrain have all been sidelined and locked out of decision-making within the Kaura LG APC, while those who sneaked in through backdoor deals as in the case of the last council election primaries in APC Kaduna State where few got nomination forms, with the same selected puppets rigged in as leaders via the open robbery of October 19th, 2024, organised by KADSIECOM. This act frustrated President Tinubu’s vision for local government financial autonomy, and we are already experiencing its negative effect since all local government allocations still go to state governors or they buy their way out by giving their selected puppets opiates in the form of cars and many other things. The Kaduna State Government/KADSIECOM arrangement was used not to strengthen Kaura LGA, but to protect a clique who live in luxury on taxpayers’ funds, while the ordinary APC party members, as well as the good people of Kaura LGA, are kept busy with the weaponised Nigerian poverty, giving space for underperforming beings like DIGESTIVE SYSTEM and his misinformed team to go unchecked by both APC as a body and the so-called Kaura elite: no accountability, no discipline, but pure arrogance, impotent constituency projects, and power drunkenness.

In Kaura APC, only a few individuals enjoy influence, contracts, and state favour. Why? Because they know that if real leaders with real grassroots support are not sidelined and rendered useless within the system, such individuals would expose their incompetence.

 The capacity and popularity of the sidelined APC members threaten those who rose through backdoor deals, hence the need to manipulate and exploit all. Every APC member in Kaura Local Government must ask: How long will we be tools for the benefit of a few? These same “leaders” are quietly ensuring strong party men remain caged not because they are unfit, but because they are too capable to be overshadowed as their lights shine brighter.

If APC in Kaura continues like this, the coalition forming for 2027 will not need to fight hard, aggrieved APC members themselves will tear the house down from within. But here’s my advice to all aggrieved APC members: STAY SILENT AND LET THEM END YOUR POLITICAL RELEVANCE OR UNITE WITH THE GOOD PEOPLE OF KAURA LGA WHO HAVE BEEN BETRAYED, JOIN THE COALITION FOR GOOD AND TAKE BACK KAURA LGA FROM THE FEW MILKING IT DRY.

Kaura’s history proves one thing: voters here will never reward arrogance and secrecy, nor will our people support incompetence and greed. If APC as a party in Kaura LGA refuses to work on all the issues raised here, the people and even its own members will change it for them.
