HASKEN KAURA: PROFILE OF HON. GODWIN J. LUKA (MAI-SOLAR) EARLY LIFE

Born to the Family of Mr and Mrs Joshua Luka Bityong on the 23rd of February, 1988 in the serene village of Rafin Gora, Bondon Ward,  Hon. Godwin J. Luka also known as Mai-Solar, hails from Kaura Local Government Area  of Kaduna State, Nigeria. His early years were marked with such an inner disposition to learning and  a drive for excellence which would later define his contributions to his community and beyond.

EDUCATION

Godwin's educational journey began at LEA 06 Primary School Zonkwa, where he completed his primary education in 2000. Demonstrating a keen intellectual development and a passion for learning, he progressed to GSS Zonkwa for his junior secondary education from 2000 to 2003. MAISOLAR then attended TBMCC Samaru Kataf, where he successfully obtained his NABTEB certificate in 2006.

Hon. Godwin Luka then enrolled at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, where he studied Business Administration and Management, earning his National Diploma (ND) in 2011. His voracious quest for truth on reality did not stop there; HON. Godwin Luka later advanced to Kano State Polytechnic, where he obtained his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration and Management in the year 2022.

CAREER AND ACHIEVEMENTS 

Hon. Godwin J. Luka's educational background laid a strong foundation for his professional life, Maisolar's love for entrepreneurial skills with a blend of administrative knowledge and a profound understanding of business dynamics marks his worldviews. His visionary initiatives and love for entrepreneurial skills began as far back as 2003 during his secondary school days where he started as a Photographer, such love for entrepreneurship made Maisolar successful and self-reliant as he was able to acquire more skills.  

 Hon. Godwin Luka so far, is transforming countless lives by impacting valuable skills and creating Job opportunities particularly to the youths,  with over 20 Youths who are now millionaires through entrepreneurship. His dedication to nurturing a new generation of solar engineers has not only fueled economic growth but also fostered sustainable development both within Kaduna State and beyond.  In Kaura LGA, over 640 Participants were trained through the  MAISOLAR 2024 YOUTHS TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM,  a program that had empowered Kaura LGA Youths with adequate skills in Solar system installation, CCTV Camera Installation and First Time Attendance configuration. All political Wards across Kaura Local government Area were covered.

Hon. Godwin Luka's love for Humanity and achievements was affirmed  by the  FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC BAUCHI (SUG) where He was  Awarded on Merit as the BEST MANAGER OF THE YEAR 2010/2011.  MAISOLAR was certified for his Service to Humanity by MACA PEACE AMBASSADORS AND UNITY AFFAIRS IN AFRICA and also Awarded same on the same Year as the  Nation Builder/MACA PEACE Ambassador for the Year 2023. Maisolar was decorated on 7th/01/2024 by the ASHOLIO ATTIRE EMPOWERMENT ORGANISERS for being a strong Pillar to the development and growth of such project, His love for entrepreneurial Skill development, His donation of the first knitting Machine which they trainees used for the whole training process and His  donation of a second Machine, as well as Funds. MAISOLAR was also issued an  Award of excellence for his entrepreneurial prowess and service to humanity by Kaura Youths Coalition Union (KYC) on 9th/March/2024,  Moro'a Development Association Abuja Branch (MDA) on 13th, April, 2024 and Watyab Youths Kaduna Branch Kaura on 4th May, 2024.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP 

As a native of Kaura LGA, Hon. Godwin's deep connection to his community has always been a driving force in his endeavors. He has been actively involved in various community development projects, leveraging his expertise to implement programs that address local needs and challenges. His leadership style is characterized by inclusivity, transparency, pragmatism and a genuine commitment to the welfare of his people.

Throughout his career, Hon. Godwin Luka has been an advocate for sustainable development and innovative solutions, earning him the nickname "Mai-Solar." This reflects his dedication to promoting solar energy initiatives and other sustainable practices, aiming to improve his people's well-being, Kaduna State and beyond.
