It is important to distinguiged between a person that is a homosexual and a gay base on the distinctions been provided by some professionals.
A Homosexual is anyone who enjoys sexual attraction to persons of thesame sex. “only few NIGERIA CHALLENGED ON TECHNOLOGICAL ENHANCEMENT are gays as claimed by this psychologist because, A man who recognizes that he has a homosexual problem and struggles to overcome is simply a homosexual and not gay”. Gay or lesbianism is a self identity chosen by some homosexuals. “the gay-identified person, identifies with the idear that homosexuality is as normal as heterosexuality”. Gays/lesbians are therefore homosexuals who morally approve same sex sexuality or sexual activity and regard such acts as normal and desirable.
There is both legal and cultural rejection of homosexuality. This many had associated with the acts of nurturing it and the meaning of nature in human life. Gay science and gay politis tend to complement each other because gay science manipulates nature, word and concepts and even nature in support of the moral legitimization and legalization of homosexuality and the so-called gay lifestyle. Many humans had argued in favour of homosexuality, explaining that the sciences had successfully made a discovery of a discovered gene that causes homosexuality, such research had successfully portrayed as “a normal and natural variant of human behaviour”. But this arguement was been debunked by many people, because if someone born with a favourable (structure for basketball) combination of height and athleticism is in no way genetically programmed and forced to become a basketball player. This qualities can only facilitate and make and individual a successful basketball player with ease due to the heredity of height and other qualities and not that such genetic qualities forces one to become a basketball player even when it goes against his will. Been involve in the sport of baskeball will involve once personal interest and love for the game and also, once experience in the game of basketball. So also is the acts of homosexuality. For the fact that one is been born with such gene does not forces one into such an act, and heredity is not to be used as an excuse or yardstick towards justifying the acts of homosexuality.
Other scholars had argued that there are other none genetical influence upon human behaviour. Goin by the the nature of things, the origin of once charater can be traced biologically from once parents, this makes once character innate. But human beings been finite with their rationality and the experience of the physical univers have their characters subjected to modifications by the environments in which they live in, via both experiences and choices. For example, in the case of alcoholism, if such a gene has a historical of biological transfer of trait, then there is a much high risk for serious alchoholism. But many people are involve in alcoholism due to external influences. Excessive involvement even if it has a historical of genetical history does not still debunked the fact that alchoholism by itsvary nature is bad. With all this analogies, alchoholism is been estimated to be 50-60% heritable. Ehile homosexuality is less than 40% heredity. But this greater risk towards alchoholism does not make alchoholism justifiably right and morally good, and it does not change the fact that individuals involve in alchoholism are responsible for controlling, changing or stoping such a bad behavioural attitude. Each man is been influence sexually by:
The environment of society that one is been born and broughtup in.
Physical effects like trauma, family and other viruses.
Forms of education, familial interactions and “symbolic” effects.
Repetition of events or behaviours.
Choices.
These are the major ways or things that form part of once sexual orientations and activities within the society.
SAME SEX MARRIAGE
To “Roman Rota”, Homosexuality is the disorder of the instinct or natural tendency (psychologically, physically and effectively) of one toward a member of his same sex, and this in the nature of things is abnormal. “it is a pathological state of the sexual instinct, He claimed”.
Same sex marriage therefore, is a marriage between two persons of the same sex. Such phenomenom which is new or alien to nature, legitimize such activity and this we can see as its dominate the world today. Many countries in the world now permits same sex couples to marry legally and this problem was been amplified by liberalism and science in the 20th century. This people hard argued that since marriage is much fundamental and it is each mans right, it should also be extended to same sex couples. Denmark in 1989 became the first country to legalize same sex marriage. Such laws were been passed to protect same sex couples from any form of discrimination in the society. Such an action led to the rise of gay and lesbians rights activists and scientist, whom had based their arguements on equality even though, there had been a counter attacks by that see such legalization of homosexually as immoral and against human nature.
ARGUMENTS AGAINST SAME SEX MARRIAGES
Many argument for same sex invoke liberal principles of justice such as equal treatment, equal oppurtunities and neutrality. To the advocate of same sex marriage, marriage provide benefits which are denied to same sex couples on the bases of their kind of sexual orientation. If the function of marriage is on he legal recognition of livingor voluntery intimate relationship, then the exclusion of same-sex relationship appears to be arbitrary and unjustly discriminatory.
Homosexual relationship to me is contrary to the essential requirement for marriage, because if such marriage should be made legal in the society, some people will oneday ask for the legalization of their marriage to animals and trees because it is their right of self autonomy. Also, this kind of behaviour is alien to most customs, cultures and traditions in most nations. Same-sex marriage goes against the natural means for procreation and turn around towards adoption and other artificial ways of "breeding" or "producing children". This is not just unfair but evil too. The way some humans do think like animals in the name of civilization is sometimes amazing, manipulating word and concepts to their pwn advantage. Homosexuality is an illicit lifestyle which shouldnt be sold out to the general public as part of the societal norms and culture, because it has even been proven medically that anal sex, which is the principal sex associated with homosexuality increases the risk of contacting sexually transmitted diseases or infections, must especially the cancer of the Anus or the problem of having weak bladder.
Marriage is a culture which should be guided by complementary sexes in concordance with the demand of the natural conjugal love, and procreation inline with the ontological nature of man.
CONCLUSION
Nature only gives or returns to us what we give into it. Lets always learn to follow what nature intends. Marriage naturally should be between people with complementary sex and sexual organas. There is no similarity between homosexuality and heterosexuality. Both two are foundamentally and essentially different. A reduction or change in the natural way for procreation and involvement in gay and lesbianism will render man irrational because that which is been debunked by the majority of humans ought to be looked into, since even the Homosexuals have never, can never and will never ever condemn Heterosexuality
