HON. DONATUS MATHEW'S REASONS FOR DEFECTION FROM LABOUR PARTY TO APC ARE FALLACIOUS (ARGUMETUM AD MISERICORDIAM), BASELESS, INCOHERENT AND FLAWED.

The Member representing Kaura Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber,  Hon. Donatus K. Mathew's defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not only laughable but a testament to his lack of vision, capacity and political integrity as failed leaders will always make excuses, I predicted this move long before now but many debunked my logical permutations accusing me of being overly analytical always. While Hon. Donatus Mathew A.K.A Digester's reasons for leaving (or "Dumping" as others will say) the Labour Party (LP) appears to be crafted based on fundamentally deceptive ideas Cheri picked graciously to appeal to public sympathy, they reveal more about his incompetence than any systemic challenges. His exit from LP to the APC is a WIN to Labour party:

1. Lack of Performance and Vision:

Hon. Donatus Mathew's tenure so far has been characterized by a glaring absence of tangible achievements and the political will to do better. In contrast to some of his colleagues in the Green Chamber like Hon. Amos Daniel (PDP), the late Hon. Ekene of Chikun-Kajuru federal constituency as well as so many legislative members that have managed to deliver impactful projects and initiatives despite operating in opposition parties, Digester has no moral justification linking his under performance to such debased ideas. Clearly, it is not the party affiliation that limits effectiveness but the lack of creativity, leadership skills and genuine commitment to service delivery.

2. Excuses Over Accountability:

Appealing to people's emotions and claiming that resources were withheld due to party affiliation is an insult to the intelligence of his constituents, the good people of Kaura LGA. Hon. Amos Daniel and many others who are not in APC have shown that effective representation transcends political barriers. If others can navigate the same challenges and deliver, why can't Digester do better than them since he came in from a humble beginning and as many will call him, a former "Okada Rider?
The difference is clear: Hon. Donatus Mathew simply lacks the capacity to lead and execute.

3. Misplaced Priorities:

Hon. Donatus Mathew’s reasoning highlights a troubling trend of prioritizing personal convenience over public service. Rather than finding innovative ways to secure developmental projects for his constituents, he opted for the easy way out, joining the ruling party. This raises questions about his motivations and whether he was ever truly committed to the Labour Party's principles of grassroots development and social justice, not negating his body language during the inconclusive October 19th council election in Kaduna State, an election that was never held but funny enough, results were announced in favour of the ruling party APC and people like Donatus K. Mathew who claim to be "honourable" members from the opposition kept mute.

4. Political Irrelevance in 2027:

Decamping to APC may temporarily shield Hon. Donatus Mathew from scrutiny, but it has likely sealed his political fate. His inability to deliver in the past year has already disenchanted his constituents and aligning with a party that has not historically WON any elective position in Kaura LGA apart from the single Councilorship seat (Manchok Ward) will only further alienate him. As the 2027 elections draws closer, neither APC, Uba Sani nor KADSIECOM can save him as INEC will be incharge of the coming elections and his records will speak louder than his rhetorics.

5. Moral and Intellectual Bankruptcy:

Digester's claim of “prioritizing the welfare of his constituents” is hollow at best. If his commitment were genuine, he would have persevered through the challenges and sought for innovative ways to serve his people like others in similar positions. Instead, he has chosen to DIGEST his second term ambitions as his name implies demonstrating that his defection is driven more by personal survival rather than public interest.

6. LABOUR PARTY WINS BY LOSING HIM (DIGESTER):

The Labour Party is better off without leaders who lack the backbone to face challenges and the creativity to find solutions. His past anticidence, actions and inactions as well as his refusal to support his Chairmanship Candidate (Oct. 19th) is a testament to his mission and vision as well as his intentions even before now. His defection to APC clears the pathway for a more competent and visionary leader to emerge in labour party come 2027, someone who embodies the party’s ideals and has the capacity to deliver results. Also, the internal crisis that was artificially created to serve the interest of the gullible by some of Hon. Donatus K. Mathew's followers as they had even anointed their own party chairperson, creating a faction within the same system that gave them such privileges will now be a thing of the past. FORWARD EVER, BACKWARD NEVER!!!

In conclusion, Hon. Donatus K. Mathew’s defection to APC is neither surprising nor a loss to the great Labour Party. It is in fact, a cleansing moment and a reminder that leadership is about service, not excuses. Let him enjoy his new political home, but the people of Kaura Federal Constituency deserve and will demand better representation come 2027.
