Yakubu Maji (LANTANA), a respected PDP stakeholder in Kaura Ward, Kaura LGA, Kaduna State and beyond was kidnapped on January 8, 2025, despite about 30 million Naira being paid to his abductors as ransom,  he still remains in captivity with no single words (communication) from the  kidnappers. As Nigeria clocked 59 years of Independence it has been advised to embrace technological development . The member representing Kaura Constituency in the kaduna state House of Assembly, Honourable Mugu Yusuf gave the advice while speaking with Journalists.
